This program consists of 6 one day courses for any Project Managers wanting to incorporate AI into their PM role.
AI00 - Introduction to AI for Project Managers.
This foundational course equips project managers with the core AI knowledge they need to operate confidently in an AI-enabled workplace. Participants explore what artificial intelligence actually is — covering machine learning, generative AI, natural language processing, and the AI spectrum from narrow to general — along with a concise history of how AI has evolved and why it has accelerated so rapidly since 2022. The course also examines the PM's specific role in AI projects, the key differences between traditional and AI/ML project delivery, and how to manage scope, uncertainty, and the CRISP-DM lifecycle as a project professional.
The second half of the course takes a practical turn, walking through how AI is being applied at every stage of the project lifecycle — from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure. Participants learn the key AI concepts every PM must know, how to recognise and manage risks and ethical considerations unique to AI projects, and how to begin governing AI use within their organisation. The course closes with a 30-day action plan to help PMs immediately apply what they've learned, making it the essential starting point for the entire series.
